Hi Neelam

In SAP SD whenever u do any change in customising screen it will get saved in customising request.

Use:- Whenever u need to tranfer a change from one server to another we have to transfer using this change requests.

CHANGE REQUEST - suppose if we get an issue from the client . we will make a trouble shooting of the issue and create a change request and should get the approval from the client, The client change committe will review the request and approve it, only after that we have the authorization to move the configurable changes from the dev env to prod env. (usually you find this in support environment or in implementation)

CUSTOMIZING REQUEST - Generally we will create this request to transfer the data from one client to other client or one server to other server. Like we will make the configuration settings in the golden config client and save the changes. then we will store the changes under one request and we will communicate to the basis guy about the transfer of request to the target client or server.

hope the explanation is of some help to you

Hello Nelam Pandey,

Cuztomizing Request-

A transport request generated for distributing Customizing objects within a development environment.

Change request for transferring and transporting changed system settings from client-specific tables.

Customizing requests are also managed by the Transport Organizer. Changes to Customizing settings are recorded in the Customizing requests.

Automatic recording of configuration activities in the Customizing work for a client can be activated or deactivated for each client with Client Control. If automatic recording is active, a query window appears when you change Customizing settings, asking you to specify a Customizing request.

To distinguish between global changes in the system and client-specific Customizing settings, modified objects are divided into different categories. Change requests and tasks are also assigned to these categories, depending on the objects they contain. There are two request categories:

• Customizing requests

Customizing requests record client-specific Customizing settings made in a single client (the source client of the request).

• Change requests

Change requests contain Repository objects and cross-client Customizing objects. Change requests can also be mixed. This means that they may contain client-specific Customizing. However, as above, all the client-specific objects must only originate from one client (the source client of the request).

Whether Customizing requests are transported or not, does not depend on the objects entered, as is the case with Workbench change requests. The Customizing requests in an SAP System (or in a client if you use Extended Transport Control) are either all transportable or all local, depending on the system setting. The system automatically determines whether objects can be transported and the transport system into which they are transported, however you can change this manually.
