I was playing with sorting of the alerts in the Alert Inbox in the RWB. It got messed up because you can sort them by date and time independently! I need to show the most recent alert at the top.
Never mind! Fixed it by starting the alert inbox by transaction ALRTINBOX which launches in the browser. Needed to Refresh the inbox that appears in the RWB also.
