Hi All,

I would like to revert my sytem which is at oracle 9.2.0.4 to 9.2. It is on SUN OS.

The readme file for the 9.2.0.4 patchset does not explain how to do this.

Any help wiill be greatly appreciated

Thanks

why do you want to revert? 9.2.0.4 is very old, consider upgrading to 9.2.0.8 instead!

Eric,

I actually want to upgrade the database to 10.2. But before that I have to apply 9.2.0.7. The patchset is erroring out. The orainventory is corrupt. Thats why I want to go back to the basline release apply 9.2.0.4 and 9.2.0.7 and then proceed with the upgrade.

Thanks

Hi,

If the inventory is corrupted then the only option I can see is to reinstall oracle ( deinstall it and install it again )

That is the only solution I have seen before in similar situation.

Thanks, Thats what I have planned to do. Re-install 9.2 and then the patches.

Thanks for your prompt reply.
