Hi,
I think someone also asked this question a while ago. I am asking it again as I couldn't find the answer.
How can we store 'Created By' information for a record in a MDM repository? If we use 'User Stamp' field, it gets updated whenever the record is updated overriding the original creator of the record. How can we capture the information about the user who originally created this record and how can we keep it regardless of how many times the record gets updated?
Thanks,
Y
Yasir,
I have contacted SAP on this same issue. There is no corresponding option for a User Create Stamp like there is the Create Stamp for date. The way around this is to set the value up as a User Stamp, then change the field it is using to update on. The Selected Fields are defaulted to All, change this to update on a unique field like part number. That way the user field will only be updated when the unique field is changed, which is shouldnt in most cases.
Thanks,
Tim
