Hi,

Can u check the alert log file of the database which exists in /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background/alert<SID>.log, as here the exact oracle error will not be visible.

similarly always check the latest log files that are generated in the installation directory.

i hope this problem is related to shared memory. please increase the sharedmemory at oracle level as required.

incase, if the problem is related to java, the installation will not come to this phase.

Hello Raghu,

In order to install Oracle server you need to use sapserver.cmd.Also before using it delete oracle_home environment variable and then try.

if you downlaoded this from the Internet using torrents or illegal P2P networks, it is a known fact that some packages are corrupted. go get official CD and DVD from SAPNET.

"<b>ERROR: invalid checksum in data file "E:/ECC5/dbexport2/EXPORT2/DATA/SAPSSEXC.001</b>"

-> i presume you copied the cd contents to disk...some data might got corrupted

-> copy again (from the original cds!)

-> use the latest supported java...might be 1.4.2_xx
