Problem with Portal Eventing and Web Dynpro

Hello,

I followed exectly the HowTo "use Portal Eventing" for Web Dynpros from the SDN. I created two WD applications and integrated them in Web Dynpro iViews. On the portal page they are displayed correctly, but the client eventing doesnt work.

so, what steps are needed for client eventing? Do I have to do some things that aren't mentioned in the HowTo?

I'm running a EP60 SP3 on a WAS640 SP7.

I Think For Portal Eventing to work both the iViews shuld be in the same page.

try creating the 2 webDynpro Applications in a single Project and in EP give the Properties

Like ur Application Name and Namespace shuld be local/<<ProjectName>> and deploy the Applications into WAS which holds Ur EP

Yes, is a fact that portal evening only works if the iViews are on the same page.

In NW 2004s a lot of evenitng issues where solved.

Hi Marco,

I'm not sure if this could lead to a solution, but: SP3 is really somewhat beta (or alpha) software. Patch to SP... (10 or above, I would suggest) or resinstall.

At least, there are probably hundreds of issues you woud get rid of...
