System Host Information

Hi All:

Can any one let me know how to look up the SYSTEM host name in XI. For example my XI system name is "farooqfarooqui". Now I need to throw an Alert and in Messge tittle I need to assign System host i.e. from which system Error is occured.

Example : Error occured for Message &SXMS_MSG_GUID& from system

&<b>????????</b>&

Out come should be:

Error occured for message "32 char long GUID" from system farooqfarooqui

Anyone know what is a container variable for gettting system host??

Hi,

it should be &SYST-HOST&

You can check it in alrtcatdef, at least I can see it there!!

Hello Farooq,

it should be exactly as I wrote you. In the ALRTCATDEF, however, you have directly the option of choosing it, by double clicking it, so you dont really have to type anything.
