Authorisations Issue

I have been through quite a few of the threads on SDN but can't find a solution to my problem.

When ever I try to logon to the Alert Configuration or End to End monitoring on the RWB I get a Username and Password box appear.

Now in this box I have tried I think every user but none seem to work.

Could someone tell me which user should be able to administer the Alert Configuration and End to End monitoring.

Coud you also tell me what roles should be assigned to that user both from the ABAP Stack (SU01) and the JAVA Stack (UME)

Also if anyone has had this issue before then how did you fix it?

for configuring alerts u need follwing roles first for defining or creating alertcategory

the roles reuired to access the RWB are:

1. SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER

2. SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN

The roles for the Alert Management are:

1. SAP_ALM_ADMINISTRATOR

2. SAP_ALM_CUSTOMIZER

3. SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER

Once this is done

alert category is defined and then tested

let me know if u want something more

Cheers..

Hi alex

You should be able to log into End-End Monitoring using the instructions given in the XI Configuration.pdf : Single Sign-On Configuration for SAP XI.

Here is the link

Hi,

Refer to SAP note: 750287.

The ExchangeProfile contains the wrong HTTP port and host name for WebAs.

The error also occurs if the host name is changed after the initial

maintenance of the ExchangeProfile. For example, the error occurs if a new

host name is determined on a system that is operated by a hosting partner

and that can be contacted from the customer network. In this case, the

exchange profile must be modified as described below.Solution:

Check the following property under "RuntimeWorkbench" in the

ExchangeProfile:

com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport

and, if necessary, set it to the value that the ICM monitor displays as the

HTTP port of the WebAs (Transaction SMICM -> Goto -> Services).

You also need to fully identify the host name in the property

com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost

(for example, host1234.wdf.sap.corp instead of host1234).

After you have made the adjustments, update the cache by calling the

following URL:

http://<J2EE-Host>:<HTTP-Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init

where <J2EE-host> is the host name of your J2EE and <HTTP-Port> stands for

the HTTP port of the J2EE.
