Hello,
By accident, all logs (old and active) for an application were deleted while the j2ee server was running. After the logs were deleted, the application was not accessible. We then stopped and restarted the entire SAP system (db, abap and java). When the j2ee server started, the application in question was not logging anymore. Has anyone run into a similar situation? How can we get the application to be visible under the application node in the log configurator service in visual administrator (we are using the logging.jar) and how can we get it to log again?
Thanks.
Regards,
Scott
If you deleted the whole directory tree you need to create the subdirectories again.
Compare to your test system the directories under
\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee/cluster/server0/log
and create them if necessary.
The other possibility is to use a restore of a backup to get the structure in place again .

Hi Scott,
I am not very sure, but you can use configTool. it has similar features as Visual Administrator except it is offline feature.
