Background job running very slow after migrate SAP to i5 (model 550)

Hi

We are using SAP version 4.0B. It was running in old AS400. Over the weekend we migrate the SAP to new i5 system.

After migrate all the background job running very slow. The jobs use to complete within 20 minutes running 16 hours in new i5.

Anybody have any experince or advice?

you should also have prepared i5 according to Notes:

Hi Yuva,

did you do a complete restore including the SQL-Packs ?

If yes: Are you sure, that you deleted the SQL-Packs with DLTR3PKG afterwards ?

If you forgot this, this is just normal.

Otherwise:

What is your OS/400 Release ? Are you up to date with the IBM Infoapar PTFs ?

Hi Volker,

I did performed the DLTR3PKG and removed all the SQL packages. We are 2 levels behind in terms of CUM PTF and 4 level back on DB Fix.

We are at V5R4 with DB Fix level 6.

Hi Yuva,

ok DB Fixpack #10 is current, so I would suggest to update a bit (to ALL the latest PTFs) and see then again ...
