I have windows backup of MS SQL directries (AFGDATA1,AFGDATA2, AFGDATA3 ) How should I restore the dataase.?(I just copied them while having SAP down)
I was told to reinstall the same systemID. Then I will copy back just AFGDATA1,AFGDATA2, AFGDATA3 , AFGLOG. How should I do that? In SQL server manager I was told to attach the database(how should I do that). I guess I have first to
detach the original database(while having sql services on),
stop sql services ,
restore the old directories ,
start sql services
attach the new database
Am I right?
Hi
The complete solution for your problem is:
SAP Note 193816 - Restore with SQL Server
Also if you want you can refer to SAP Note
It is having all the steps clearly defined and you can easily follow it.
This should solve the issue.

HI
Open your Entrprise manager if you are using Ms-Sql2000
if you are using Ms-Sql2005 Open Managment Studio.
Right click on database folder and click on attach database
then give the path of your Data Folders
