SRM Contract Download - Urgent

I am trying to download one of the purchasing contracts to Excel. I see the download button, click on it, opens a new tab and immediately closes it.

I assumed the Download should prompt me the file format to save the file. For some reason it is not working. Do I need to any special setting or active BADI etc. I thought it seems logical to click on the Download button and it should work.

I am using IE7 and this is a released contract. I tried the Download both in the Display and Change Modes.
