Hi ,
In PS when we create project profile.
under control data-> project stock is there
It has following values as a radio button
1.No stock
2.Non- valuated stk
3 valuated stock
and check box for requirement grouping
Can any body explain this?
Shiv
Hi,
1. When you select no stock, that means all the material for the project will ship directly from your vendors to customer without you stocking it.
2. In case of non valuated stock, the cost of material doesnot flow along with material i.e., cost gets posted when the material is invoiced and not at GRIR stage.
3. In case of valuated stock, the cost of material flows along with material i.e., cost gets posted when the material is received at GRIR stage.
Requirment Grouping is a functionality given so that you are able to group common requirement across the project at topmost wbs level.
Reward points if you find it useful.

1. no stock
materials are either directly procured for the project or taken from the plant storage.
2./3. you have a stock only available for the corresponding project, no one else can consume the materials there
the stock can be valuated or non-valuated
you find quite a lot of information on that topic in the PS documentation.
