Hi,
We are planing to install ecc5 with oracle 10g on wondows 64bit platform and that is on cluster( MSCS), we are little bit confused whether we need to install on both the cluster nodes or in quoram hard disk. Please explain about it, will be highly appreciated.
Bye,
Nizam
a) plz get the installation guides ASAP!
b) and the correspondig SAPNotes...
c) you'll have to install according to the sapinst guides...for example: database (rdbms, patch set and hot fixes!; oracle fail safe) on both nodes...sap ci on one node...
d) the quorum disk is not used for oracle/sap installation purposes

First:
the quorum disk has to reside in the Cluster Group.
If you would install SAP or Oracel Parts on the Quorum disk you will have the cluster resources and SAP/Oracle Cluster resources in only one resource group.
Taken this resource group offline would offline the complete cluster.
Second:
there are some newer options building a cluster without quorum disk

Hello,
You no need to install on both the server but u have to mount the some folder and do copy of some folders to other server as for example copy USR folder and services file.
Thanks,

Hi kamlesh,
Thanks for your help, still i am not clear about installation on both nodes. once you install CI on one node you are giving the path of shared disk and if we go for other node then also we need to give the shared disk path : so will it or any other? if it is then alrady one usr and aracle folder exists after node A installation. Do you mean to say copy usr and oracle folder? please explain in detail, will be higly appreciable.
Bye,
Nizam
