Hi Rajesh

XI 3.0 is a part of Nw2004 and PI 7.0 ( Process Integration) is a part of NW2004s. Apart from the name change both provide the same features and every SP release of PI has a corresponding release of XI .

This will help you

For Installation of PI, the following link will help you

Hi Rajesh,

One more important procedure even after executing your PI Post Installation Templates Successfully you might face problems because the Post Installation templates does not import your BASIS Content which necessary to work XI Basic Adapters. This can be done for following this procedure.

Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis

1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz (latest file ask your BASIS Consultant) from <installation DVD>/XI_CONTENT to

directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/

2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.

3. Choose Repository (Design).

4. Choose &#8594; Tools &#8594; Import Development Objects

2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import

XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz (latest file ask your BASIS Consultant)

5. Import the file.

After installation is done successfully you need to configure you XI/PI server. For this you can run the post installation Templates which automatically configures you PI system.

You can do this by

Step 4: First execute the templates for <b>NWA</b> for configuring you SLD
