Hi guys i am trying to find the answers to these questions.

Supplier Evaluation Survey through SRM & BW

SRM version (4.0)

Scenario: Created questionnaire for Strategic buyers. We ll be sending a link to the buyer's email id through which he can access the survey and answer the questions.

Q1. If we are sending the survey to a strategic buyer who deals with multiple vendors, How do we create the questionnaire? Is it possible in standard SRM .Can we configure the questionnaire so that the survey taker select the vendor form the drop down list of vendors he deal with and post the survey. ( How can the buyer post the same survey for multiple vendors)

Q2. If the Survey taker inputs some data in the input field of questionnaire, where do we capture that data in SRM (table).

Q3. Is it possible to capture the parameters like Vendor name, Location, etc on the questionnaire without transactional data. ( can the system pick the parameters based on user id.)

Hello Sundeep,

Supplier evaluation can take place in 3 different SRM processes:

- during GR creation

- during INV creation

- during Vendor List maintenance

You can also trigger evaluation from BW reports.

Q1: So for a buyer, the standard place would be from VL transaction. If you want to build a different process (ex: select the supplier in a list), you have to develop it.

Q2: Supplier evaluation surveys are using the basis Survey. The results are stored in XML file in SRM. BW is able to extract it to use the data in its evaluation reports (with additional customizing for aggregation & weighting of questions).

Q3: if you consider that VL is not transactional, yes it is possible.

For a customer, I prototyped a custom transaction to send surveys out of those 3 places: it is possible to initiate some surveys from vendor data and send them to a buyer. The result can be interpreted in a normal way via BW.
