Using the Design Time Repository

All these tasks are performed in the Design Time Repository perspective of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. With this perspective you can browse the contents in Design Time Repository (DTR) and your local file system and you can perform:

● Creating Workspace Folders and Workspaces

● Setting Options for the Workspace

● Setting Preferences of the Design Time Repository

● Creating Activities

● Integrating Activities

● Editing Name and Description of an Activity

● Unchecking Out an Activity

● Checking In, Uploading, and Downloading Activities

● Check-In Conflicts

● Adding Resources to the Repository

● Reverting Changes

● Displaying the Version Graph of the Resource

● Editing a File

● “Sync” – Copying Versions to the Local File System

● Copying Files to the Local File System

● Deleting Resources From the Repository

● Deleting Resources From the Client Workspace

Hi,

<b>DTR</b> (Design Time Repository) is the main building block of Usage type <b>DI</b>(Development Infrastructure)

The SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (DI) provides versioning and building functionality as well as life cycle management for Java applications. SAP NW DI is integrated in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to allow the combination of local development and testing with centrally synchronized, team-oriented development.

<b>DTR</b>

Java sources, XML files, and so on, are stored in a hierarchy of files and folders that are visible to the DTR client in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. Each file or folder has its own version history. The definition of workspaces allows you to group sets of files in a particular version for a specific purpose (for example, development, maintenance of delivered releases, and so on).

Developers access the DTR simply by checking out source files or by synchronizing files for read access to their local hard disks. After local development and testing, they check their changes in. The DTR manages distributed versions and is capable of resolving version conflicts when integrating changes from other workspaces.

What's going on here?

Vasu posts a question...Valery posts a 'reply' with another question. : )

This is at least the third post like this I've seen today.

David,

You missed 3 other posts, there are should be 6 total:

Answer to your question:

SDN is a community of users who helps each other to solve technical problems or share their experience. Questions like "where can I download tutorial..." or "what e-class covers technology ABC..." are also acceptable. However, solving someones employment problems via helping him/her to pass certification exam without investing a single minute in self-education are out of SDN forums scope. And my strong opinion that these hurts the industry we are forking in.

Oh, now I understand!

I agree with you: that's not cool. Gotta do some legwork on your own.
