What shoudl be installed to open Http://localhost:50000/index.html

I have a NW2004s system.

I have to open this path Http://localhost:50000/index.html

Please let me know what should i install in the system(not sure whether i have to install Java instance)

.And also tell me the option which i have to select in sapinst

Is the url http://<IP address>:5<XX>00 working properly.

if so then in your particular server you can use

http://localhost:5<XX>00

The c:\windows\server32\drivers\etc\hosts file should have the entry

localhost 127.0.0.1

Hello Balaji,

For this JAVA stack has to be installed. Also the url Http://localhost:50000/index.html will only work for the server. If you want to access this through other machines you need to use:

Http://<hostname>:50000/index.html.

Also 50000 is valid only when your sys no. is 00 otherwise this has to be 5xx00 where xx is system number.

The option you choose depends on what is ur requirement.All the information is given in installation guide of NW04s which is available in market place.

Ok i will try to help you out:

1.Run sapinst and go to SAP NetWeaver 2004s Support Release 2--

Select the database you are using(eg MaxDB)-Central System--

Central System Installation.

Click on next button and proceed as per the instructions.

The above option is one of the simpliest and basic kind of installation.

The above procedure is for NW04S_SR2 if you are using SR1 installation master the procedure will be more or less similar.
