Stop the Installtion, stop the db

in initsid.ora update this value

shared_pool_size is 245434624

shared_pool_reserved_size is = 24543462

start the db with this pfile

sqlplus>startup pfile=\oracle\sid\102\database\initsid.ora

Hi Sammer,

Can you attach the Oracle spfile?

Please check if during the installation the free space in main memory without count the pagefile syze.

I'm not shure, but I think that the requirements to install ECC are greater than 2 GB of RAM.

Please review the system requirements.

Thanks,

Hi Sameer,

This is not a Listener error.

First, try to rerun the load, and if it fails again, please read the Sap Note 455195. It explains how to solve the loading import packages issue.

It looks you are trying to install two SAP systems on the same server...

After install second system, you are unable to start first system..

is this your problem or different?

Dear Marioto.

Its looks we have some issues with the lsnrctl,

i tried to sart the service but it says it cannot be started on local machine.

i am using oracle 10.2.0.1.0, but i could not find and patch for this, does it require any oracle patch...?

Hi Sameer,

Please, can you attach your C:\oracle\DEV\102\network\admin\listener.ora?

...and your devadm user environment values?

Best Regards,

JC Llanes.

Sameer,

I suppose that you have some problem to start the Oracle listener.

In the Windows Services, you can find an entry to Oracle Listener named OracleDEV102TNSListener.

Please try to start the service.

If the listener not start, check the listener log in the path : %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin.

If you cannot determine the root problem, please attach the last lines in this log to this post.

i am using oracle 10.2.0.1.0 but i have not installed any patches for oracle.

Hi Sammer,

Please, check if the listener is answering to the connections using the following statement:

tnsping DEV.WORLD

and

tnsping DEV

If it is ok, try to connect to the database using the sqlplus:

sqlplus SAPSR3/SAP@DEV

If the result in any step is fail, check your oracle listener configuration.

I hope that it can help you.

If you need additional suport, let me know.

Did you change the listener name or the listener port number at the time of installation? If you have changed the name of the listener file, then first start the listener with command lsnrctl -start <Listener Name>. Then start the database and then continue the installation. Check you environment variable and also the version of java you use.
