When installing a NW04s, I am asked to give values to
"new heap memory " and "perm heap memory".
Could you tell what is the exact meaning of those
numbers?

There are different types of memory available. Roll memory, Heap memory, paging memory etc.
Heap memory is a virtual memory assigned for a particular work process to finish a user context completely.These work process would come as PRIV mode when using this memory.
