Distributions of DEV, QA and PROD systems

Hi

In a medium sized implementation howmany DEV, QA and PROD systems are maintained ?? I know this is a open question but just for understanding purpose I want to know that. Meanwhile whether all these instances will be mantained in one server or different servers individually ?? could you please tell me the actual distribution of systems ??

in most cases it's one per one applications

so if you have ERP, XI , CRM, SRM

then you can use 4 dev, 4 QA etc...

in terms of phisical server this can vary (you can have two or more

DEV on one machine) but in PRD you may want to use one system per

one machine - more options exist of course

yeah,its a very open question but i would suggest one for each

i would suggest to have different instances of one server,u can maintain one central SLD and 3 separate IS(one each for Dev,QA and PRD)

but all this has to be maintained by ur Basis guys so dont worry about it:)
