CTM is planning excess production

<u>Background:</u>

We are implementing APO-CTM functionality for a biotech / pharma client. The Bills of materials are very deep and we have fixed lot size quantities at several levels in the bills of materials. We are currently using infinite mode planning in CTM

<u>Problem</u>

CTM is building excess supplies in summary. The number of planned orders generated are very high. We are really not sure what is going on and am thinking some of you may have encountered these issues. Any advice on this problem will be of great help.

There are many factors which might cause over production.

One of the factors which I can think of

-- Safety Stock setting
