Trying to install SAP Netweaver ECC 6.0 and in the last step of the installation.
"Prepare to install minimal configuration"
The J2EE server is not coming to the running state.
I tried seeing whats the problem with jcmon,
dispatcher and server0 are not starting, I dont know what logs i should be looking.

follow the below steps.
1.Stop the database instance
2.stop all the instances manually in MMC (" hope you know how to do this)
3.clear all the logs
4.Restart the machine
now start the database , instances in MMC manually , it will surely work

Hi,
Sometimes it hangs at this step,although the reasons are not known.
Stop the installation.dont reset.
Restart the entire instance ,it will work.and one more important thing,all teh configurations will be done.
One more possibility to hang at this state,if DATABASE log is full.Check with that and delete unnecessary files.If you are working with MAXDB,put it in OVERWRITE mode.

try to start the SAP manually
if itis windows OS go to MMC and start the SAP system if it is started then continue the installation else
select server0 right click see developer trace

Hi,
Please look at the following logs in /usr/sap/<SID>/work
dev_jconrol, dev_server0, dev_dispatcher,std_server0.out, log_boostrap<ID>.
If you are installing through SAPINST click on view log button to get abstract details.
As a soln for your issue. Try starting the Installation manually and retry the installation.
