Problem with alert transport! Kindly help!

Hi Experts,

Our BASIS have transported alert categories to QA system using the normal procedure. But the problem is we cannot see it in ALRTCATDEF transaction. ALRTCATDEF shows only the alert classification but no alert categories under it.

Strangely the SALRTCAT table shows the alert categories.

BASIS folks are saying that it is due to latest service pack they have applied before tranporting. There seems to be some BUG due to it.

Is there any workaround to get the alert categories displayed in ALRTCATDEF?

Please help us as this is a very URGENT requirement!

which SP are u guys on,even i had this problem and i had to fight with my Basis guys coz they didnt transport the Alert categories properly,they only do it half way and dont complete it,u can check by urself in sm36 and sm37

Hi Ahmad,

I think they have applied SP 11.

Can you tell the steps involved to check alerts using SM36 or SM37? I am not aware of this.
