Is this XI controlled by NWDI?

When applying support stack to an XI system, we get a message like:

"Is this system controlled by NWDI? ..."

Could you help tell

1) If yes, what to do to apply the stack, and

2) if no, what to do to apply the stack?

Thanks! Points!

Hi jennifer

You use NWDI for any EJB applications running on the system. If you are not using any other applications, you can select no NWDI and continue with the stack installation.

Jennifer,

if your are using NWDI then you need to YES while applying patches. if your are not using then NO.

for NWDI you will have separate pacthes to apply.

NWDI is used for CMS,DTR (Desing Time Respisotry),CBS(Compnent Build Servcie).

Thanks

NetWeaver Development Infrastructure. I don't think this works with XI. We use it for CRM. I'd answer NO.

you'll use NWDI whenever you have applications that should be shared and maintained.

You could use it in XI, for example, if you had EJB applications (adpter modules, custom adapters etc), but I guess it is not necessary.

Henrique.
