FJS-00003 ReferenceError: oracom is not defined

Hi

We're doing a SAP ERP 2005 / ECC6 install (High Availability on Oracle/AIX 5.3) and have installed the ASCS and SCS components, but we have a problem installing the Database instance, after the screen Oracle > Database Instance:

Execute step DiAdvancedDbParameter of component |NW_Doublestack_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CreateDBandLoad|ind|ind|ind|ind|9|0|NW_CreateDB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBCheck|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBMain|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBStd|ind|ind|ind|ind|3|0|NW_OraAdvancedDia|ind|ind|ind|ind|7|0.

ERROR 2007-05-11 10:54:39

FJS-00003 ReferenceError: oracom is not defined

If we try again, we get the next error:

INFO 2007-05-11 10:56:11

An error occured and the user decided to retry the current step: "|NW_Doublestack_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CreateDBandLoad|ind|ind|ind|ind|9|0|NW_CreateDB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBCheck|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBMain|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_OraDBStd|ind|ind|ind|ind|3|0|NW_OraAdvancedDia|ind|ind|ind|ind|7|0|DiAdvancedDbParameter".

ERROR 2007-05-11 10:56:12

FKD-00051 Field nlsCharacterSet with function definition (here: UTF8) in table __instanceDataTable___ cannot be changed. You try to set the value UTF8

ERROR 2007-05-11 10:56:12

MUT-03025 Caught ESAPinstException in Modulecall: You try to change the Field :nlsCharacterSet of table :__instanceDataTable___ which contains a function definition > UTF8< and is not changeable..

We didn't try and change UTF8... in fact, it's greyed out so we can't change it...

Any ideas please? We've already looked at note 668604 which is for error "FJS-00003 ReferenceError: mgt is not defined" but it's not quite the same and the fix isn't applicable..

Cheers

Ross

D'oh. Stopping and retrying ('continue' installation) didn't work, but we tried stopping and starting the database installation from the start again and re-entering all the parameters... did exactly the same as last time... but this time worked!

Oh well.
