JDBC drivers not found---Pls help

Former Member

Hi All,

Pls help me out to solve this issue

I have XI 3.0 and R3 4.7 EE seperately . (Both are for education purpose)

While doing JDBC scenario, I got error "JDBC drivers not found" in Adapter Framework. When contacted I was told to install JDBC drivers according to R3 4.7 EE's Database version and not to disturb XI database. We have Oracle database for R3 4.7 EE.

My questions are

1. Is that correct that I should not disturb XI database ?

2. If I install JDBC drivers according to R3 4.7 EE's Database version , In future will I get any problem like the same and other when I do JDBC scenario ?

3. I have been searching but not getting the right place to download JDBC drivers.

Could you please give me the link where I can download JDBC drivers ?

Thanks in advance

ss

>>> Yes you should not distrub XI database . while doingJDBC you install the JDBC drivers of database which you r going to access it but not XI database.

2. If I install JDBC drivers according to R3 4.7 EE's Database version , In future will I get any problem like the same and other when I do JDBC scenario ?

>>> It has nothing to do with our ECC. dont compare ur source or traget databsae with our XI or ECC database.

3. I have been searching but not getting the right place to download JDBC drivers.

Could you please give me the link where I can download JDBC drivers ?

>>> service market place. service.sap.com you need to have login id and password for this

Hi Sreearam,

From your answer I understand that I have to download JDBC drivers from service.sap.com and I have to install on R3 4.7 EE. (I should not install on XI 3.0)

Then the JDBC scenario will work successfully.

Pls let me know my understanding is correct or not.

Thanks,

Hi,

Deploy JDBC driver with the help of SDM on XI then your scenario will work fine.

You can refer to <b>"How To Install and Configure External Drivers for the JDBC & JMS Adapters"</b> Guide.
