Identifying the selected cell in ALV

Hi experts .....

I hv a requirement wherein i need to know which cell has been selected from the ALV table....

Like when im selecting a particular cell how do i identify that the cursor is on which cell so that i can update that cell values...or maybe color it...

Hi Jagruti,

Please see Package SALV_WD_DEMO.In that Package you will find many demo examples where ALV tables examples are given . It will help you.

Darshana..Can u gimme a small example ...That will help me understand i guess..

my requirement goes like this..

I place a cursor on a particular cell ..then from the dropdown i select a color...and the cell that i selected should be colored...so i wanna know that which cell has been selected...

Hi Jagruti,

For this you need to code for Cell Variant in ALV. Here is the Sample program SALV_WD_TEST_TABLE_CV which has implemented the Cell variant. Just check that you can easily get an idea about it.
