any one pls explain me the deliverables in each phase of the project , i mean the flow how the things will progress and the documents we have to prepare in the BBP Phase and the realization phase

The SAP implementation process is made up out of four main phases, i.e. the project preparation where a vision of the future-state of the SAP solution is being created, a sizing and blueprinting phase where the solution stack is created and training is being performed, a functional development phase and finally a final preparation phase, when the last tests are being performed before the actual go live.

1) Project preparation:

Craft solution vision------ Refine and communicate a SOLUTION VISION of the future-state of the SAP solution, to sketch a design that meets both business and financial requirements. The focus should be on the company’s core business and how

the SAP solution will better enable that core business to be successful.

Design and initially staff the SAP TSO------ Design and staff the key positions of the SAP Technical Support Organization (TSO), the organization that is charged with addressing, designing, implementing and supporting the SAP solution.

Sizing and blueprinting:

Perform cost of ownership analysis----

SAP functional development

Address SAP systems and operations management

Create a foundation for the SAP systems management and SAP computer operations, by creating a SAP OPERATIONS MANUAL and by evaluating SAP management applications

Perform functional, integration and regression tests

Test the SAP business processes, by executing functional tests to ensure that business processes work, integration tests to ensure that the organization’s business processes work together with other business processes and regression tests to prove that a specific set of data and processes yield consistent and repeatable results.

3) Final Preparation

Perform systems and stress tests Plan, script, execute and monitor SAP STRESS TESTS, to see if the expectations of the end users, defined in service level agreements, will be met

Prepare for cutover

Plan, prepare and execute the CUTOVER, by creating a CUTOVER PLAN that describes all cutover tasks that have to be performed before the actual go-live

At last> Go Live

Turn on the SAP system for the end-users

Five Phases of ASAP methodlogy.

Phase 1: Project Preparation - The purpose of this phase is to provide initial planning and preparation for your SAP project.

Phase 2: Business Blueprint - The purpose of this phase is to achieve a common understanding of how the company intends to run its business within the SAP System. The result is the Business Blueprint, a detailed documentation of the results gathered during requirements workshops. The Business Blueprint document represents the business process requirements of the company. It is the agreed statement of how the company intends to run its business within the SAP System. Documents prepared in this phase are AS-IS, TO-BE, Gap Ananlysis & so on .........

Phase 3: Realization - The purpose of this phase is to implement all the business process requirements based on the Business Blueprint. The system configuration methodology is provided in two work packages: Baseline (major scope); and Final configuration (remaining scope). Doucument prepaged during this phase are Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Modification in GAP Analysis, Templates for Master data upload, User manual & so on ......

Phase 4: Final Preparation - The purpose of this phase is to complete the final preparation (including testing, end user training, system management and cutover activities) to finalize your readiness to go live. The Final Preparation phase also serves to resolve all critical open issues. On successful completion of this phase, you are ready to run your business in your live SAP System. Documents are Master data templates prepared by core team for uploading in production server, Configuration Document & so on ........

Phase 5: Go Live & Support - The purpose of this phase is to move from a project-oriented, pre-production environment to live production operation.

Project Team Organization - Sets the who of the project: Standards & Procedures - Sets the why and how of the project.

Phase 2 - Business Blueprint - Requirements reviewed for each SAP Reference Structure item and defined using CI Templates (in the Q&Adb). Business Blueprint - This is the output of the Q&Adb and is the key document for Phase 3.

Phase 3 - Realization - Master Lists - Define business scenarios and R/3 transactions to be realized in the system. BPP - Business Process Procedures representing R/3 transactions; used for unit testing & documentation. Planning - Defines how the configuration will be done and how it will be tested. Development Programs - Provides details of the external programming requirements. EU Training Material - End User training material and process documentation.

Phase 4 - Final Preparation Stress & Volume Tests - Plans for confirming the production hardware’s capabilities

Cutover Plan - The details of how to move to the production environment and go live

Conduct End User Training - Delivery of the necessary levels of R/3 End User training prior to going live

Phase 5 - Go Live & Support: Ensuring system performance through SAP monitoring and feedback.
