Access a LDAP Directory with XI

Hello @all,

I want to connect the User management of HR to an LDAP Directory via XI. I know that SAP delivers an connector for this task but I'm investigating the possibilities to access the LDAP with XI.

does here anybody have experience with access of a LDAP directory via XI.

As I know, there exists no LDAP Adapter till now.

Our LDAP Solution is "SUN JAVA SYSTEM DIRECTORY SERVER 5.2".

We are planning to do the same.

At the moment we have a connection between SAP HR and Directory Service.

We are now going to set up XI as a central middleware where all communication is to be routed though.

So we need to get SAP HR to talk LDAP via XI to the Directory Service.

The SAP HR information is also to be send to other systems a later phase.

We will be doing this shortly.

There is some config within XI (3.0 - SP5 [our version]).

Run transaction spro > Sap web Application Server > System Administration > Directory Integration > configure LDAP Connector, Define LDAP Users Confgure LDAP Server.

thx for you reply. maybe I explained my problem to imprecisly..

I want to connect a HR to an LDAP Directory over the XI. Because, there is the need to distribute the user data that are in HR also to other systems. This system expects a LDAP message format.
