Creating versioning

Hello,

I have a document structure which I created using CV11 transaction. I want to version this top header material and want the children parts remain attached to the new version. I know I can do the same with object links, what about document structure.

Hi Paddy,

As per my understanding your question, You need to create a new version of the document structure with maintaining the same line items, if this is the case, then.

1. You have created document structure say 10001/DRW/000/00 with TCode CV11

Your Requirement is to change/create 10001/DRW/000/01 maintaining same line items of 10001/DRW/000/00

2. You need to again create a CV01N/CV02N to raise the version of the DIR i.e. from 00 to 01

3. Then Using CV11 create document Structure 10001/DRW/000/01 with COPY command, and copy from 10001/DRW/000/00.

you see all the items being same in 00 & in 01 version.
