Hi,

I'm trying to install a Netweaver 04s IDES system. I'm at the Import ABAP step in the process. The sapinst log is as follows:

For the first error above ...

ERROR 2007-05-09 16:58:30

FSL-06002 Error 3 (The system cannot find the path specified.

) in execution of a 'CreateProcess' function, line (310), with parameter (F:\j2sdk1.4.2_14\bin\java.exe ...).

I know that the path to the java sdk is correct so I assume that the install program is looking for another file (xml?) to create the process from.

So, I have three questions ...

1. Is this info kept in either of the 3 xml files (infile.xml, keydb.xml, instanatemp.xml)?

2. Are these files built from a master that I can change?

3. Is there a way to go back to the Check Parameters step to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help ... points will be awarded, of course!

Sincerely,

Maybe the SAPinst used some search algorithm to find the JDK location.

Did you set the JAVA_HOME variable before the installation?

I'm sorry, this was confusing ....

Yes, I'm installing SOLMAN. This is the first time through the install for me.

I'll check on the .14 version of the JDK.

Can I modify infile.xml or instatemp.xml directly?

Thanks,

Rod

As it turns out, for some reason the Java VM didn't like running from a network drive. I reinstalled Java on C: and checked the environment variables ... got through this step.

Points awareded as appropriate. Thanks everyone!

Hi,

R u Installing NW04s or SOLMAN...If ur installing NW04s then how the sap has taken this path

'C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN/SYSTEM/MSS/CENTRAL/AS/inifile.xml'

I think u previously intalled SOLMAN and forgot to cleanup those directories in Cdrive

Plz chk and revert

Please check the compatibility with the J2SDK 1.4.2_14

As per this SAP Note 716604 J2SDK recomended by NW04s is J2SDK 1.4.2_12 or J2SDK 1.4.2_13
