Doubt in install license netweaver

Hi to everyone:

Well I have a little doubt of how to install the license in netweaver2004s, because the LKEY that send in very long and when I try to install in console it say me that no longer from 24 character so I don't know how to install the license .

Because in R/3 de LKEY is of 24 characters and in R/3 I can install it without problems.

HI Joel,

I my self had faced this problem.You need to save the text document that comes attached with the License key mail from SAP.

Then in transaction <b>SLICENSE</b> ,click on the <b>new license</b> button and then click on <b>install</b> button and upload the file from the OS level.

This is how you install the license in SAP NetWeaver04s.

then delete the sap* user from DB level

delete from sapr3.usr02 where mandt=000 and bname='SAP*';

parameter:

login/no_automatic_user_sapstar=0

after restart the instance.

then login to the system with user sap* and password pass

Are you having trouble installing the license for the ABAP part of the J2EE part. If its the J2EE part , then you need to do it via License Adapter service in Visual Admin.

I guess the license you are talking about is for dual stack (abap+java).Is your installation a dual stack system or stand-alone.

As you can see the LKey is very large, I have to contact sap.

Hi Joel,

The method for installing license in NW2004s is a little different than the previous releases. As Amit said the button "new licenses", the new licenses installation will support large number of license key. And when you apply license key from SAP, you can only get such large license key. So in NW2004s, new license installation is the only way to install a license. the "old license" is kind of obsolete.
