Local Product & Indirect Procurement

I have this question but I am not sure I put it correctly. Anybody can help me?

Full points will be rewarded.

SRM 5.0 Classic Scenario

1. Procurement of indirect material is always LOCAL product?

2. Incomplete shopping cart with local product will send to purchaser’s work list in SRM and purchaser will complete it and send it.

What about incomplete shopping cart with backend products? This also will be send it to purchaser’s work list in SRM?. Or it will send it backend and Purchaser will complete it?

Hi Joe,

1- Whatever, your products have been created in the backend or in SRM, this a no impact on your flow.

You can have backend products replicated into SRM through middleware and doing procurement of indirect material.

2- In the ECS and standalone scenario, as soon as PO is incomplete (vendor missing for example), it goes to the purchaser worklist.

Once completed, you can order the PO.

However you have activated classic scenario.

In your case, incomplete SC will create a purchase requisition in your backend.

Kind regards,

Yann
