SRM MDM Catalog - Authorization for Roles

Hi,

We are SRM MDM Catalog Ver 10; I have the following query in the Authorizations for Roles:

We have 10 Catalog Managers and these managers manage around 20 Product Groups / Categories. How can I control that if Product Manager X login to MDM Data Manager; he would see only relevant Product categories which he is reponsible for assuming 01;02 and 03 and when Product Manager Y logs on then he would be able to see and manage 04; 05 and 06 ands so on....

I tried doing some setting for the Catalog Manager role for the constraints in tables and fields tab of console. But, the results are favorable...

Can anyone kindly provide a solution for the same...

Hi Ram,

Constraints should work if you've set it for the Product Groups.

Check to see your Catalog Managers are not assigned more than 1 role so that the right constraints get picked up.

But my requirement is to have multiple roles as well as constraints needs to be put in place....

Ram,

You should be able use constraints on multi-role users.

e.g.

Role1 is assigned product group PG1, PG2

Role2 is assigned product group PG2, PG3

A user assigned Role1 and Role2 will see PG1, PG2, PG3.
