SSL connection between poetal and MS ADS

Hi,

i performed all the steps mentioned in help.sap.com

imported the certificate into keystorage

changed ume ldap config to use port 636 etc.

but now am unable to connect to the system with LDAP users.

i read a blog which suggeted checking whether the server name in the certificate

is same as that in ume config.......

1.how do i check this in the certificate.

Also we use IP addresses in the UME ldap config as against server names.

also there are 2 LDAP servers,both their IPs have been mentioned in the

ume ldap config

Please suggest some steps

Hey Rocky,

are you able to log into the portal with your LDAPusers?

If you can log in, you won´t see anything else than a warning message and the logout button, because you have to assign the LDAP users portal(ume)roles.

In the UME LDAP Configuration both is possible the servername OR its ip-adress.

If you are able to connect (test connection) via Port 389 and 636 everything is OK.

Cave: you might have to enter your password again and again!

Check the certificate: doubleklick or open your cert-file - detail-tab shows you the infos you need.
