WAS 6.40 : What do i need?

Hey,

I tried the search function, but i don't find the correct keywords i think, because i don't find an awnser to my question.

@ the moment we are running a WAS 6.20. We want to use Web Dynpro for Abap, so we need a WAS 6.40. Right?

What are the possibilities to upgrade to WAS 6.40.

Is it only the WAS we can upgrade, do we need to install something else? Is there a simple solution? Do we need to upgrade our R/3 system (4.7)? Do we need to upgrade our EP?

Can anybody help me on thisone please?

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi,

for Web Dynpro ABAP you need NW2004s, see also the <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDABAP/General+Issues#GeneralIssues-1.100">SDN WDA Wiki</a>

Regards, Heidi

PS: See also the documentation on <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/e86de5008b4d9ae10000000a155369/frameset.htm">configuration</a>

So, if i understand this wiki page well, there is only one way, and that is installing NW2004s ??

It's not enough to upgrade only our web application server in one way or another ??
