PO error !!

Former Member

During creation of a PO from a SC, we get the following error :

"Select a location to which a plant has been assigned"

The SC already has a plant and storage location which point to the backend structures.

We are implementing Ext Classic.

Would appreciate any resolutions.

Hi :

Can anyone help with any suggestions ?

I created an incomplete PO with the SC (obviously the error is the same as described in this message). An interesting thing is that when I try to complete the PO by going to the Header section of the PO and enter the location (partner) using F4, it shows me the plant assignments. However, upon selection, the entry is not input on the screen. It disappears and does not show up on the screen.

Any ideas ? We are using Ext Classic in SRM 5.5.

Bakulesh,

Can you check entry in the BBP_LOCMAP table ? Your plant should be populated in the EXT_LOCNO ...

What is your SP level on SRM 5.5 ? We are on SP 7 on SRM 5.5 with ECC 6 with Public Sector ...Classic Scenario works in our case .

Thanks , AJ

Hi Anand:

I do have an entry for my plant in the BBP_LOCMAP table and the field EXT_LOCNO is filled in.

We are on SRM 5.5 SP7 with ECC 6 public trying to run Ext Classic.

Any other ideas will be appreciated.

Hi everyone :

The backend locations is pointing to a RFC destination with RFC checked.

The locations have been maintained in Ext attributes of the buyer who is trying to create PO from SC.

We are using SRM Server 5.5 with ECC 6.0 (Public sector) at the backend.

Hi,

Please flag "RFC" in "define backend system" for your R/3 or ECC backend

-> SRM SPRO...

Hi,

Check Org structure parameters for user who create a PO from SC.

Purch Organization should correspond to backend system. This parameter is on Function tab your purchasing organization. Check this same thing in Purchasing Group node.

Your user or all organization should have locations and storage locations maintained. This values you can find on Extendend Attributes tab. If you're enter the storage location, check the default checkbox in one of it.
