Can you assign one sales organization to multiple company codes? If yes how? If no why? Without delivery can you do billing? 60) Is it possible to do delivery without shipping point? pls ans
Hi Vinayak,
No it's not possible.
<b>Reason:</b>
The sales generated by one sales organization can go to the financial books of one company code as revenue and not to many. Just think in a real time scenario, is it possible for some one to do sales and enter the revenue for multiple organizations?
Hope I cleared your doubt. Reward if you felt the same.

thanx for your answer.i got it but if a particular sales organisation is selling products of two different companies for ex there are two group companies like one is into textile and one is into pipes and that particular sales organisation name ABC sells both the products, then how is it configured in SA ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE.
Can u please clear my doubt..........
hi,
In SAP we need to understand the hierarchy structure.sales organisation is a lower level ORG structure and gets connected only to the company code which is
a higer level org structure.
if the sales org has to sell two different products then it will have divisions differently,so that the sales area can be two.otherwise in extreme rare case you may opt to create one more sales org.so you cant assign salesorganisation to two different company codes.
look at SAP as a top down model as it is meant to provide business infromations
to the CEO.i hope this clears your doubt.

In Order-related billing, no delivery is required. an example can be say a proforma invoice can be based on Sales Order (Billing Type: F5) for a delivery related mater, alternatively the proforma invoice also can be mapped based on delivery (Billing Type: F8).
Incase of service scenario where physical delivery of product does not takes place, is a order-related Billing (Billing Type: F1) & manufacturing scenario where physical delivery takes place, it is delivery related billing (Billing Type: F2)
Hope this gives better clearity.

No. It is not Possible.
If you check the configuration it allows us to assign a sales orgaization to only one company code. Ofcourse several sales organization can be assigned to one company code, but not one sales organization to multiple company code.

No u cannot assign one sales org to more than one company code .
Because we are doing sales thru sales area and sales org is one of the part of sales area how can u share sales revenue between two company code.
So u can assign more than one sales org to one comapny code but not more than one company code to one sales org.
Regarding billing yes u can create billing document with out delivery as credit memo and debit memo can be created with refernece to sales order .
Shipping point is the most required thing for creating delivery with out one cannot create delivery
