Hi Christino,

<b>Plant - Company Code</b>

From ECC6.0 a plant can be assigned to multiple company codes.

<b>Sales Org - Company Code</b>

No it's not possible.

<b>Reason:</b>

The sales generated by one sales organization can go to the financial books of one company code as revenue and not to many. Just think in a real time scenario, is it possible for some one to do sales and enter the revenue for multiple organizations?

Guess I have sorted your queries. Reward if it had helped you.

PLANT

The plants from which the sales department delivers the materials

ordered are designated as delivering plants and must be assigned to

a sales organization and a distribution channel (distribution chain) in

Customizing.

By making the plant dependent on the distribution channel, you can

differentiate further between plants within a sales organization. This

allows the distribution channel direct sales for certain plants in a sales

organization, but not for others.

One plant can be assigned to several distribution chains as the delivering

plant. It can also be assigned to several sales organizations.

It is also possible for the delivering plant of a distribution chain to belong

to a different independent company in the corporate group (that is,

the plant is assigned to a different company code than that of the sales

organization). This is called cross-company sales.

The sales organization is an organizational unit in Logistics which groups the

enterprise according to the requirements of sales and distribution. A sales organization

is responsible for distributing goods and services. Therefore, it is also liable for the

sold products and responsible for the customers' rights of recourse.

The sales organization is also used to take, for example, a regional, national or

international subdivision of the market into account.

A sales organization is uniquely assigned to a company code. More than one sales

organization can be assigned to a company code. To use the sales and distribution

functions in the system, you need at least one sales organization.

In the sales statistics, the sales organization is the highest summation level. All

sales and distribution documents, that is, all orders, outbound deliveries, and billing

documents, are assigned to a sales organization.

Plant

A plant can either be a location for production and material requirements

planning (MRP), or it may simply represent one or more material stock

locations in close proximity to one another.

Each plant is assigned to a unique company code. The plant is a required

organizational unit, and at least one must be defined.

For a plant to deliver goods to customers, it must be configured

appropriately as a delivering plant in SD Customizing. During the sales

process, the delivering plants are first used to verify the stocks, and later

to supply the goods the customer has ordered.

Reward points if it is usefull..
