Dear Duan,

which architecture are you using?

any errors in dev_rd or dev_ms?

If the dev_* files don't show any errors, take a look at

/usr/sap/MT1/DVEBMGS00/work/stderr*

/usr/sap/MT1/DVEBMGS00/work/stdout*

I am using linux 32bit .

i have noticed that java runtime environment is not running coming up with this error:Error occurred during initialization of VM

Unable to load native library: /usr/lib/SunJava2-1.3.1/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Also the upgrade over wrote the /etc/services file. All the instance SAP system services were no longer there.I have put them all back.

Is there a way to do a system profile comparison at os level like we do it in rz10 i.e profile in the database and the one in the os?

Dear Duan,

you <b>may</b> need to upgrade your java installation.

Please check http://service.sap.com/pam thoroughly for the requirements of your installation.

Dear Duan,

as root, execute the following command:

mount -n -o remount,rw,size=2048M /dev/shm

Anyway, you should have a look into

/usr/sap/MT1/DVEBMGS00/work/dev_disp
/usr/sap/MT1/DVEBMGS00/work/dev_w*

to check, why the SAP software does not start. If you don't have a clue, just post the content of them in here and we will investigate further

Best Regards

Hannes
