XI to Xi commuication

for xi to xi communication is their any need to create any <b>connection of type https/https, in SM59</b> , between two Xi communication...

What is the adapter you are going to use for the XI to XI communication?

Is it SOAP or HTTP or XI adapter?

For HTTP and XI you can directly give the URL in the adapter itself. There is no need to create the Destination in SM59.

But if needed you can create it in SM59

1. for HTTP adapter --> Destination will be HTTP Connection to an External Server

2. For XI Adapter ---> HTTP destination to a R3 system.

Asutosh,

For connecting one XI server with another, use proxies. So you need to configure XI receoiver communication channel in first XI system. For this you can directly give the parameters of 2nd XI server or use a HTTP connection created in SM59 on 1st Xi server.

Made a mistake in my last reply. You dont/can not use the concept of proxies in XI to XI communication since the proxies are always created only in Application server.
