NW04 Testdrive on Linux: Installation of SAP NetWeaver Studio

Hello!

I'm installing the NW04 Testdrive (with MaxDB, on Suse 9.1)

according to the installation guide on the CD.

The ABAP part is working fine. But the installation of the NetWeaver Studio via CrossoverOffice gives the errors:

1) Installation of the required package

"Internet Explorer Version 5.5" failed

2) Installation of the required package

"Java 2 SDK" failed

3) Installation of the required package

"mfc42.dll" failed

4) Installation of the required package

"mfc42u" failed

I have installed j2sdk1.4.2_08 and its path is set in JAVA_HOME variable.

Do I need to install the Internet Explorer?

Hello!

I still stuck at this installation step.

I can't find any additional info or a manual how to install the NetWeaver Studio on Linux. Can you give me an advice? The info provided in the installation guide for the TestDrive on CD is very rare.

I have another question: In the startsap.log file I can see that after start of WebAS6.40 the "J2EE database is not available via test".

Must this solved before I continue the installation?
