We recently rebuilt our ITS server (4.6C) and changed the production ESS port from 83 to 80 in IIS, ITS Administration, and SAP (using SPRO). Upon connecting to ESS, it appears that SAP is still trying to communicate through port 83. Any ideas where else should we look to change the port in SAP? This is a legacy system we need to keep running for another 6 months: Windows 2000, SAP 4.6C, patch level?
Hello Chris,
With the old ITS 4.6C you should look in the global.srvc file of the ESS instance and the wgate.conf file. The port number is mentioned in these two places.

Hi Chris,
what does this mean: SAP is trying to communicate through port 83?
