Hi,
We are on SRM 5.0, ECC 5.0 backend.
When we try to create a PO from sourcing-the PO doesnt get created, we dont see an error message in the sourcing screen, but we get this error message in <b>application monitors</b> - "<b>BAPI 001 No instance of object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External reference:</b> "
I am not able to understand this message and also why we are getting this. i am able to create the PO from R/3 when I use tsn me21n for the same data.
I checked that this is a message of message class BAPI in R/3- but dont understand what is the error in this case.
Has anyone faced this error? What can be the solution for this?
Regards,
Srivatsan
Hi Srivatsan,
looks like some customizing settings are missing.
In order to create a PO from the Sourcing Cockpit, the document type for
manual PO creation needs to be set DP_PROC_TY attribute in the Org Model.
Check of that setting is in place with a valid doc type.
The standard suggest to use different doc types for the different scenarios, which
then also need to be maintained in the backend system. But it is also posible to
use the same doc type EC like for the standard procurement scenario. Check if all
the doc types are maintained and in synch between R/3 and SRM.
Thanks,
Claudia
