Hello everyone,
I have the set the relevant background jobs for deletion which are running reguralrly.
I have set retention periods of 1 day and 7 days for hist.
Messages in SXMSPHIST are being deleted via background jobs.
But table SXMSPMAST is not being cleared. The number of entries are the same for over a weeek now (XI has been inactive for over 20 days, we are preparing for go live on the same system that developement was carried out).
I am also running in background the RSXMB_REFRESH_ADAPTER_STATUS everyday.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Dimitris
Hi,
Do you have messages in error on your system (async) and did you checked for message in Schedule/Recorded status???
Because such messages can't be deleted by Jobs.
Please update then may be we can help.

Here we are....
Yes.. this the cause message is only successful in integration engine but waiting/recorded in Business Process Engine.
Check inside SXMB_MONI_BPE with all dates... and try to process them... if unable to process then tell me (check design etc).
Normally you should not have any successful message in SXMB_MONI if your jobs are running fine. but if message is not complete for any reason then it will persist for later processing.
You can also check it in RWB->message monitoring and search for "Adapter Engine" messages.

Gourav

Hi, i hv successfully performed a round of archival however i found that the entries hv not been deleted from SXMSPMAST. May I know what is missing? Thanks.

It seems that our problem was that the archiving procedure was not working properly.
Once tahat was ok the backgroun delete job
worked like a charm.
Thank you all for your input.
