Hi all,
I am looking to configure the alerts for a particular scenario....I have added the required roles to my user ID
I m able to access all the alert related T code on ABAP..............
however my problem is "In RWB when I click on ALert configuration It asks me for the user ID password, ...There even if i put ADmin pwd,,,,still it is not accepted and after 3 trials i get the 401 authorization errror ". with the following m message
Log On failed...
call of URL j2eehost;httpport/sap/bc/bsp/sap/sxms_alertrules/main.do terminated due error in log on Data....
I have implemented SAP Note 750287..
This question is asked earlier by someone, however it has remained unanswered...

Hi,
I was facing same problem. ... Refer to SAP note: 750287.
>>>>
Problem:
The ExchangeProfile contains the wrong HTTP port and host name for WebAs.
The error also occurs if the host name is changed after the initial
maintenance of the ExchangeProfile. For example, the error occurs if a new
host name is determined on a system that is operated by a hosting partner
and that can be contacted from the customer network. In this case, the
exchange profile must be modified as described below.Solution:
Check the following property under "RuntimeWorkbench" in the
ExchangeProfile:
com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpport
and, if necessary, set it to the value that the ICM monitor displays as the
HTTP port of the WebAs (Transaction SMICM -> Goto -> Services).
You also need to fully identify the host name in the property
com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.r3.ashost
(for example, host1234.wdf.sap.corp instead of host1234).
After you have made the adjustments, update the cache by calling the
following URL:
http://<J2EE-Host>:<HTTP-Port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
where <J2EE-host> is the host name of your J2EE and <HTTP-Port> stands for
the HTTP port of the J2EE.
