Hi Senthil,

Matrikon provides number of free tools which you can download. I'd recommend you get the OPC Simulation Server (http://www.matrikonopc.com/downloads/178/index.aspx) as well as the OPC Explorer (http://www.matrikonopc.com/downloads/176/index.aspx) which you can use to create and modify tags on the simulation server.

xMII can connect to the simulation server using the OPC UDS (for current-value reads) and the OPC HDA UDS (for historial time-series reads). Both of these can be downloaded from the xMII area in the SAP Marketplace. The UDSs need to be installed on the machine running the OPC simulation server, and xMII is then configured to connect to them.

Take a look at the very detailed xMII documentation on how to do this in detail.

Hope this helps,

Sascha

Hi Senthil,

If what you mean by Historical Databases is Historians.. then these are databases which have Tag Data information. For most Historian Data servers like iHistorian, InSQL etc there are standard connectors in xMII which you could use.

You could then run a Tag Query on these to read the Tag Event History data.

Hi Senthil,

You can try for RTXHDB (RTX Historical Database).

RTX provide secured relational databases for LAN and WAN network.

Often the use of relational database, or transaction-oriented technology, for off process historical LAN/WAN database applications, and doing unconventional operations on data.

As an example, It is in this area of off process historical data warehousing and retrieval that the RTXHDB (RTX Historical Database) system excels. RTXHDB processes and stores a massive flow of data for LAN/WAN database applications, which then can be retrieved with a great deal of speed and quickly turned into useful information for the PC user.
