Make to Order strategy (52) however MD04 does not show any SO

Hi Experts,

I am using Make to Order strategy (52) however the MRP does not show any sales order. Therefore, no planning is executed. Does any one have any idea of what config could be missing… in term of planning the materials have planning strategy 52, planning type PD and individual/coll 2.

In other words, when I go to MD04 I cannot see the SO in the timeline so no PO is proposed.

Any idea why?

Hi,

In strategy 52 you can procure comp based on PIR and production of finished

products is based on sales orders.

settings:

In MRP 3 View strategy group 52 for finished products.

<b>individual / collective indicator 2 for components.</b>Flow :

1. PIR are created for finished product.(Requirement type VSE)

2. MD02 / MD04

For finished product planned order will be created with order type VP which is

not convertible.

Also Planned orders will be created for comp with planned order number/stck

production / procurement can be made with this planned orders for comp

3. convert planned order to production order/confirm and do MB31.

4. Create sales orders(Requirement Type KSVS)

5. This will consume PIR of finished product.

6. MD02/MD04.

7. New planned orders will be created for the sales orders which is

convertible

8. Convert it into production orders and process is as usual.

Dear nandha,

I did as you said Exactly but i found no planned orders created for the Component number/stck

I found planned order as the same for PIR with Type INDR

Could You please advise what i miss or why he act like this way
