when and where exactly events are used in smart forms ?

hi sagar,

the events used in smartforms are under TABLE and LOOP node.

now if u want a particular field to be sorted at the begining of the table or loop u can sort that particular field under TABLE node --> DATA tab --> Sort Criteria

u can sort that particular field either at the begin or at the end...

similarly we can use it in the LOOP node...

the events are also used in COOMAND node...

either u want a page break based on certain condition...

Hi Sagar,

To put it briefly, events are used when you have the requirement for control-break command in the internal tables.

the event 'Event on sort begin' is used instead if 'At New'..say when you have multiple vbelns(sales document no's) to be displayed ..the sales docu no(one row) and then the relevant item no's(in multiple rows) we can display the vbeln text under this event node.

if we have to show the sum of those items , we can use 'Event on sort end' (like at end of) ..
